I have an HVAC system original to the house going on 34 years! It is very inefficient, runs during the entire day and doesn't allow heat or AC back to bedrooms of a split level house. Currently there is brown water coming from under the furnace when AC is running. I do have a home warranty for this equipment but I need a tech to look at our current system to see if it can be salvaged in any way or an entirely new system is needed. I have heard that companies don't like to deal with home warranties due to inferior products but my warranty company will pay for the equipment you like to install.
