Bolster-DeHart, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated, positive, and detailed oriented individual with great customer skills to serve on our professional office team. This role’s primary function is to assist in maintaining the financial books of the business, record & classify financial transactions, update statements, and check for accuracy of financial records. This position will also perform basic human resources functions, assist with dispatching and coordinating the service technicians’ daily schedules, and support in handling the day-to-day functions of office responsibilities. This position must work as a team member to efficiently interact closely with all office staff, home energy consultants, technicians, installers, and managers to ensure excellent customer service. The person holding this role is expected to represent the company positively and professionally to external customers.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS, including but are not limited to:
Fundamental Accounting & Reporting: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accrual Accounting, Balance Sheets, Bank Deposits, Bank Reconciliation, Debits and Credits, Depreciation, Financial Statements, General Ledger, Inventory Transactions, Journal Entries, Payroll Accounting Skills, Payroll Journal Entries, Overtime, Wage and Salary Calculation, Working with Third-Party Payroll Provider
Vendor and Customer Skills: Billing, Customer & Vendor Relations, Invoicing, Payments
Human Resources Skills: Processing benefit forms & working with third-party providers, tracking vacation & sick time for employees, assist with insurance claims
Customer Service Representative: Proficient at answering telephone calls in a fast-paced environment; Assist in dispatching service technicians, scheduling appointments for service visits and home energy consultants / salespeople; Ensure customer database is kept up to date with current information; Support in creating repair quotes for technicians; Open & sort mail, and ordering office supplies
Computer and Technology Skills: Accounting Software/QuickBooks, Computer, Microsoft Office applications – especially Excel & Word, Scheduling Software/Systems
Other: Attention to Detail, Continuous Learning, Critical Thinking, Decision Making, Detail Oriented, Task-Oriented, Organized, Multi-task, Written & Oral Communication, Problem Solving, Working With Others but also Working Independently, Self-Starter, Customer Service Skills, Assist with other tasks as needed and performs related work as required
3+ years of bookkeeping experience
2+ years of customer service experience within a HVAC industry
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Hourly pay commensurate with job experience.
